OUA announces partnership with SheIS Sports Network

March 8, 2023, Burlington, Ont. – Ontario University Athletics (OUA) is pleased to announce a partnership with SheIS Sports Network.

SheIS Sports Network (SISN) is the first app dedicated solely to women’s sports, covering athletes from amateur to pro, in sports from around the world.

“We are pleased to be partnering with such an innovative platform like the SheIS Sports Network to further the conversation, awareness, and celebration of women in sport,” commented Gord Grace, OUA President & CEO. “With so many talented women student-athletes in the OUA, the chance to further spotlight their incredible efforts as part of a grander women in sport focused platform, is an exciting opportunity.”

Brenda Andress, founder of SISN, echoed the sentiment. “A partnership between the OUA and SheIS Sports Network is exciting and a natural fit that aligns our mission of giving all women a voice.”

Featuring unique proprietary technology, including their own commenting engine, favourites, and personalization algorithm, the SISN platform aggregates women’s sports globally for fans. Unlike any other sports app, fans can add content to the app and can soon live stream as well, making it more of a modern TikTok-like experience on which can and athletes can directly engage.

Continued Andress, “We are creating a community hub that will ignite a global movement of women’s sports fans with the empowerment of adding their own content”.
